One of the questions we often ask during an evaluation is “what would you miss if the service wasn’t here”?  Other questions we ask include:  “what would your life be like if the service hadn’t been here for you”?  and “if the service was in a fire, what would you rescue – what’s really important about it”? 

The pandemic has, in many cases meant that people have not been able to access the services they normally use.  If this is the case for your organisations, then now is a great opportunity to ask people what they have missed most about it.  If you’re now re-starting services or thinking about your future delivery, take the chance to ask your clients what they have missed most… what life is like for them without your service.  And what the really important parts of your service are for them.  There’s a lot of learning to be gained now, in ways that normally aren’t available.  Let’s try and make the most of them!
